Originally released under the artist name "Sleepsinger" to differentiate it from the other material I was releasing, I'm presenting highlights from it here of what I thought was worth keeping from the project. I've had conflicting thoughts over the years since recording this about whether it was worth sharing or even if it was appropriate for me to be selling--the concept of a white suburbanite profiting off something I was an outsider to, yet again, sometimes still feels like a step too far when it came to the Native American Flute. It's honestly still a debate I have with myself now. So, when I decided on this re-release of the material, I thought offering the recordings for free would lessen some of that guilt or controversy. I hope you enjoy these, and as always, if you like these sounds please seek out the actual masters of these instruments, from their related cultures, to listen and hear the real thing!
